Solution :-

Given :

  • Principal = Rs 55000
  • Rate of Interest = 12% per annum
  • Time = 3 years

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\sf S.I =\: \dfrac{55000 \times 12 \times 3}{100}

\sf S.I =\: \dfrac{1980000}{100}

\sf S.I =\: \dfrac{\cancel{1980000}}{\cancel{100}}

\sf\small\bf{\underbrace{\red{S.I =\: Rs\: 19800}}}

\therefore The simple interest on Rs 55000 for 3 years is Rs 19800 .
