Given :--

  • Principal = 6000
  • Time = 2 years + 3 months.
  • Rate = 6% per annum .

To Find :--

  • Simple interest .
  • Amount.

Formula used :-

  • Simple interest = (P*R*T)/100
  • Amount = Principal + Simple interest .
  • 12 months = 1 year .

Solution :-

→ Time is = 2 years + 3 months = 2 + (3/12) = 2 + (1/4) = (9/2) years .

Now, Putting all values in above told formula we get,

Simple interest = (6000 * 6 * 9)/(100*2)

→ Simple interest = Rs.1620 .

So,

Amount = 6000 + 1620 = Rs.7620 .

Hence, we get, Rs.1620 as simple interest and than our amount becomes Rs.7620 after 2 years and 3 months .
