Given :--
- Principal = 6000
- Time = 2 years + 3 months.
- Rate = 6% per annum .
To Find :--
- Simple interest .
- Amount.
Formula used :-
- Simple interest = (P*R*T)/100
- Amount = Principal + Simple interest .
- 12 months = 1 year .
Solution :-
→ Time is = 2 years + 3 months = 2 + (3/12) = 2 + (1/4) = (9/2) years .
Now, Putting all values in above told formula we get,
→ Simple interest = (6000 * 6 * 9)/(100*2)
→ Simple interest = Rs.1620 .
So,
→ Amount = 6000 + 1620 = Rs.7620 .
Hence, we get, Rs.1620 as simple interest and than our amount becomes Rs.7620 after 2 years and 3 months .
