S.I =  \frac{p \times r \times t}{100}  \\  \\ S.I =  \frac{500 \times 12 \times 3}{100}  \\  \\ S.I = 5 \times 15 \times 3 = 180 \\  \\ S.I = 180

Then ,

Amount = Principal + S.I

= 500 + 180

= 680

HENCE ,

S.I = 180

Amount = 680
