Answer:

GIVEN : -

Principal , P = Rs. 500

rate of interest , r = 12%

time , t = 2 years

we know that ,

\begin{gathered}S.I = \frac{p \times r \times t}{100} \\ \\ S.I = \frac{500 \times 12 \times 3}{100} \\ \\ S.I = 5 \times 15 \times 3 = 180 \\ \\ S.I = 180\end{gathered}

S.I=

100

p×r×t

S.I=

100

500×12×3

S.I=5×15×3=180

S.I=180

Then ,

Amount = Principal + S.I

= 500 + 180

= 680

HENCE ,

S.I = 180

Amount = 680

Answer:

simple interest=180₹ and amount=680₹

Step-by-step explanation:

 \mathrm{s.i =  \frac{prt}{100} } \\  \\  \mathrm{s.i =  \frac{500 \times 12 \times 3}{100} } \\  \\  \bf{s.i = 5 \times 12 \times 3 = 180} \\  \\  \mathtt{simple \: interest = 180 } \\  \\  \sf{amount = p + s.i = 500 + 180 = 680} \\  \mathrm{amount = 680}
