Answer:

Correct option is

A

42

Say the Marked Price be Rs. 100 and d1 = 10 %, d2 = 20 % and d3 = 20 %

S.P = (100100−d1)×(100100−d2)×(100100−d3)×M.P

      = (100100−10)×(100100−20)×(100100−20)× 100

      = (10090)×(10080)×(10080)×100

      = (1000576)×100

      = Rs. 57.6

The single equivalant discount = M.P - S.P = Rs. 100 - Rs. 57.6 = Rs. 42.4

∴ single equivalent discount %

= (M.Psingleequivalentdiscount)=10042.4
