Selling price after first discount = (1- ²⁰/₁₀₀)*100
= ⁸⁰/₁₀₀ * 100
= 80
Second discount = 5%
Selling price after second discount = (1-⁵/₁₀₀)*80
= ⁹⁵/₁₀₀* 80
= 76
So, If there are two continuous of 20% and 5% , then it is equivalent to a single discount of (100-76)% = 24%
