Find the slope and y-intercept of the line. 12x + 2y = –60

For finding y intercept you have to consider the value of x as 0(as value of x on y axis is always 0  On putting this value into the equation 2y=-60 y=-30  To find slope we have to find 2 solution of the equation So Now first set of co-ordinates is(0,-30)  We will consider y=0 this time ,that gives us x=-5 Therefore 2nd co-ordinates is (-5,0)  Formula for slope when 2 solution is given  m=y2-y1/x2-x1 m=30/-5 m=-6
