using distance formula,
AB=√(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2
=√(-5-8)^2+(3+9)^2
=√(-13)^2+(12)^2
=√169+144
=√313
=17.69units

hope you understand....

Given
A=(8,-9)
B=(-5,3)

Solution:
To find slope,
by slope formula
m=y2-y1/÷x2-x1
=[3-(-9)]÷[(-5)-8]
=(12)÷(-13)
= -12/13
