We know that perfect square is obtained when a number is multiplied by itself.

Now, we do prime factorisation of 580 = 2 x 2 x 5 x 29
we see that in the above prime factorisation only 2 is repeated and 5 and 29 are multiplied only once,

Hence to make 580 a perfect square we divide it by 145 (=5x9) to get 4, which is a perfect square of the number 2.
