ANSWER:

SMALLEST NUMBER TO BE MULTIPLY = 2

SQUARE ROOT OF THE NEW NUMBER= 70

GIVEN:

Number = 2450

TO FIND:

Smallest number by which 2450 be multiplied so that is perfect square.

SOLUTION:

Firstly;. we have to find the prime factorisation of 2450. We get;

2450 = (5 \times 5) \times (7 \times 7) \times 2

Here we see that 2 is not in pair. So we multiply 2450 by 2.

so we get a perfect square .

2450 \times 2 = 4900

So Square root of 4900 is as follows:

 \sqrt{4900}  =  \sqrt{5 \times 5 \times 7 \times 7 \times 2 \times 2}  \\  \sqrt{4900}  =  \sqrt{(5 \times 5) \times (2 \times 2) \times (7 \times 7)}  \\   \sqrt{4900}  = 5 \times 2 \times 7 \\  \sqrt{4900}  =70

So in this way we can find the smallest number which can be multiplied by the given number to get a perfect square.

NOTE:

  • Only multiply the number which is not in pair to make them a perfect square.
  • After multiplying than we will find the square root of the new number.
