Question:-

Find the smallest number by which 2592 be multiplied so that the product is a perfect square.

Solution:-

Prime factorization of 2592 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 3 × 3

By grouping factors into pair, we notice that the 2 is left and has no pair. So we have to multiply 2592 with factor 2 gets a pair.

Hence, we have to multiply with 2 to get a perfect square.
