z = x/3

so,

⇒x +y+z/3 = 88

⇒x + y +z= 88 × 3

⇒x + x/2 + x/3 = 88×3

⇒6x + 3x+ 2x/6 = 88 ×3

⇒11x/3 =  88 ×3×6

∴ x ==> 88×3×6/11 ×144

y - 144/2 =72

z = 144/= 48

the smallest digit = 48.
