find the smallest number that has to be added to 525 to make it a perfect square

We have to square root 525 and find out:-

√525=22.91............

So 23^2 will be its nearest square obviously.

Find the square of 23.

23^2=529.

Subtract 529 and 525

=529-525=4.

we get 4.

So 4 is the smallest number that has to be added to 525 to make it perfect square.
