Find the solution by substitution method : 7x – 15y – 2 = 0 and x + 2y = 3​

7x+15y = 2 …(1)

x+2y = 3 …(2)

Multiply (2) by 7 to get

7x+14y = 21 …(3)

Eliminate 7x by subtracting (3) from (1)

15y-14y = y = 2–21 = -19

Hence y = -19.

From (2), x = 3–2y = 3+38 = 41.

Hence x = 41, y = -19
