{\red{\underline{\underline{\bold{Given:-}}}}}

  • 3x +2y -7 = 0 ---------(1)
  • 4x+y-6 = 0 ----------(2)

{\blue{\underline{\underline{\bold{To\:Find:-}}}}}

  • Value of x & y by, elimination method .

{\green{\underline{\underline{\bold{Solution:-}}}}}

  • 3x +2y = 7 ---------(1)
  • 4x+y = 6 ----------(2)

Elimination Method:-

Multiply the equation (2) with 2

3x + 2y =7

2(4x +y ) = 2(6)

We get,

  • 3x + 2y = 7 --------(3)
  • 8x + 2y = 12 --------(4)

Subtract equation (1) and (2). Eliminate y

We get,

==> 8x - 3x = 12-7

==> 5x = 5

==> x= 5/5

==> x = 1

Keep Value of y in equ(1)

==> 3×1 + 2y = 7

==> 2y = 7-3

==> 2y = 4

==> y = 4/2

==> y = 2

Hence,

Value of x = 1

Value of y = 3

Case(1).

Keep value of x & y in equ(1)

==>3×1 + 2×2 = 7

==> 3 + 4 = 7

==> 7 = 7

L.H.S. = R.H.S.

Case(2).

Keep value of x & y in equ(2)

==> 4×1 + 2 = 6

==> 4 + 2 = 6

==> 6 = 6

L.H.S. = R.H.S.
