Given polynomial,

x^3 - 4x^2 -7x + 10

Given zeroes are,

1 and (-2)

let

 \alpha = 1

 \beta = - 2

We know that,

Sum of zeroes = -( coefficient of x^2) /

( coefficient of x^3)

 \alpha + \beta + \gamma = - b \div a

1 - 2 + \gamma = - ( - 4) \div 1 \\ \gamma - 1 \: \: \: \: = 4 \\ \gamma \: \: \: \: \: \: = 4 + 1 \\ \gamma \: \: \: \: \: = 5

Therefore

3rd zero = 5
