ANSWER:

  • Solutions of the given polynomial is √2 and -√2/6.

GIVEN:

  • P(x) = 3√2x²-5x-√2

TO FIND:

  • Zeros of the given polynomial.

SOLUTION:

=> 3√2x²-5x-√2 = 0

=> 3√2x²-6x+x-√2 = 0

=> 3√2x(x-√2)+1(x-√2) = 0

=> (x-√2)(3√2x+1) = 0

Either (x-√2) = 0

=> x = √2

Either (3√2x+1) = 0

=> 3√2x = -1

=> x = -1/3√2

=> x = -√2/6

NOTE:

Some important formulas:

(a+b)² = a²+b²+2ab

(a-b)² = a²+b²-2ab

(a+b)(a-b) = a²-b²

(a+b)³ = a³+b³+3ab(a+b)

(a-b)³ = a³-b³-3ab(a-b)

a³+b³ = (a+b)(a²+b²-ab)

a³-b³ = (a-b)(a²+b²+ab)

(a+b)² = (a-b)²+4ab

(a-b)² = (a+b)²-4ab
