find the solution of p if the following equation have no solution [2p-1]x+[p-1]y=2p+1 y+3x=1
guyZ anyone plz help me [step wise]

Equating the coefficients of x and y, we get

2p-1=3 and p-1=1

2p=4 and p=2

p=2 and p=2

Let us substitute p back into the given equations to see if there is any solution.

3x+y=5

and 3x+y=1

Here left hand sides are same but right hand side constants are different.

So the value p=2 makes the given equations to have no solution.

So p=2 is the answer.
