Answer:

Solution  of ( - 3 ) + 5 is 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

we are given a expression

( - 3 ) + 5

To Find :

We have to find the solution of the expression using number line

Solution :

since the given expression is ( - 3 ) + 5

here we are given the addition of ( - 3 ) which is a negative number and 5 which is a positive number

Lets denote (-3) on number line then we found that ( - 3 )  lies on the Left Hand Side of the real number 0 and lies between -4 and -2

Adding 5 to (-3) which is a positive number shifts - 3 , 5 places to the right.

Therefore the value of the expression is the number which lies after 5 places on the right hand side to the number ( - 3)

Observing the number line we find that 2 lies after 5 place right of the number -3

so the solution of the expression is 2
