Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

ax^2+bx+c=0 be any quadratic equation with non zero 'a'

Multiplying whole equation by ‘4a’

4a^2x^2+4abx+4ac=0

Adding 'b^2′ on both sides and writing in standard forms

(2ax)^2+2(2ax)b+b^2=b^2–4ac

Now it is the expansion of (x+y)^2 form

(2ax+b)^2=b^2–4ac

2ax+b=+_√(b^2–4ac)

x={-b+_√(b^2–4ac)}/(2a)

In the above equation

a=1

b=8

c=15

b^2–4ac=8^2–4*1*15=64–60=4

Substituting in the above mentioned solution we get

x=(-8+_√4)/(2*1)

x=(-8+_2)/2

Taking 2 as common

x={2*(-4+_1)/2}

Cancelling 2

x=-4+_1

x=-4+1 (or) x=-4–1

x=-3 (or) x=-5
