X + Y= 16

X - Y = 4

ADDING ON BOTH EQUATION

X + Y + X - Y = 16 + 4

2X = 20

X = 20÷2

X=10

PUTTING VALUE OF X IN ANY EQUATION

X + Y = 16

10 + Y = 16

Y = 16 - 10

Y = 6
