EXPLANATION.
Pair of linear equations by graphical method.
⇒ 2x + y = 10.
⇒ x + y - 6 = 0.
As we know that,
From equation (1), we get.
⇒ 2x + y = 10.
Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ 2(0) + y = 10.
⇒ y = 10.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,10).
Put the value of y = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ 2x + (0) = 10.
⇒ 2x = 10.
⇒ x = 5.
Their Co-ordinates = (5,0).
From equation (2), we get.
⇒ x + y - 6 = 0.
Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ (0) + y - 6 = 0.
⇒ y - 6 = 0.
⇒ y = 6.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,6).
Put the value of y = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ x + (0) - 6 = 0.
⇒ x - 6 = 0.
⇒ x = 6.
Their Co-ordinates = (6,0).
Both curves intersects at a point = (4,2).
