x + y = 16

x  - y = 4

SO

16 + 4 = 20

 \frac{20}{2}  = 10

16 - 4 = 10

 \frac{10}{2}  = 5

SO X = 10 AND Y = 6

HOPE IT HELPS TO U...#KEEPSMILE

x+y = 16------equuation (I)

x-y =4---------equation(ii)

we have to added both the equations.

x+y = 16

x-y = 4

—————

2x = 20

so, x= 10

Now, we have to put the value of x in equation (I)

x+y =16

10+y = 16

so, y = 16-10

y = 6

I hope it will help you.
