we need solution of form x=a,y=0

substitute y=0 in (i) and (ii)

⇒2x=10 and 2x=6

⇒x=5 and x=3

which is not possible. so,there is no solution of the form x=a,y=

we need solution of form x=0,y=b.

5y=10,3y=6.

⇒y=2

∴ the solution of the form x=0 , y=b is

x=0 , y=2.
