Hey there!

Here according to the question we need to find two solutions for the equation from which one lies on x - axis, and other on y- axis.

So a solution lies on x - axis, so y =0.

substitute y =0

x + 2 y -8=0

x + 2(0) -8=0

x -8=0

x = 8,

so the solution is (8,0).

a solution lies on y - axis. then x =0.

substitute x =0

x + 2y -8=0

0+ 2y -8=0

2y = 8

y = 4.

So the solution is (0,4).

Therefore, (8,0),(0,4) are the solutions of x+2y-8=0 which represents a point on X - axis, Y - axis respectively
