Let the required number of balls be a.

On observing, we can say :

= > momentum of a balls = momentum of trolley{ with velocity 10 m/s }

= > ( 5 kg x 20 m / s ) till a times = 20 kg x 10 m / s

= > ( 5 x 20 )a = 20 x 10

= > a = 2

Hence the required number of balls is 2.
