\huge{\bf{\underline{\red{Solution :}}}}

Question - 1)

\huge{\bold{3(a-5) =5(a - 9)}}

\implies \bold{3a - 15 = 5a -45}

\implies \bold{3a = 5a - 45 +15}

\implies \bold{3a -5a = -45 +15 }

\implies \bold{-2a = -30}

\implies \bold{a = \frac{-30}{-2}}

\implies \boxed{\bold{ a = 15}}

Question - 2)

\huge{\bold{4y - 3 = 7y + 6}}

\implies \bold{4y = 7y +6 - 3}

\implies \bold{4y - 7y = 9 }

\implies \bold{-3y = 9}

\implies \bold{y = \frac{9}{-3}}

\implies \boxed{\bold{y = -3}}

How to solve a Linear Equation :

  • Solving any linear equation is the process of finding the value of the variable that satisfies the given Equation.
  • There are two methods of solving a linear Equation :

1) Systematic Method

2) Transposition Method

1 Systematic Method :

⇒In this method , we perform the same mathematical operations like addition , subtraction etc on both side of equation (LHS and RHS).

2) Transposition Method :

⇒In this process , taking any term of an equation from one side to another and changing its sign is Called transposition Method .
