x²+ 4 x + 8 = 0

We know that, (here +- is + or -)

x =  (- b + -  \sqrt{b {}^{2} - 4ac }) \div 2a \\  =  >  ( - 4 +  -  \sqrt{(4) {}^{2}  - 4 \times1 \times 8 }) \div 2 \times 1 \\  =  >  ( - 4 +  -  \sqrt{16 - 32} ) \div 2 \\ =  >  (- 4 +  -  \sqrt{ - 16}) \div 2 \\ >

 =  > ( - 4 +  - 4i) \div 2

Therefore, the solutions are (-4+4i)/2 and (-4-4i)/2. Simplifying them,

x = -2+2i, -2-2i
