Solution:

Here ,

It is given that ;

1/(x + 3) < 0

Here ,

1 > 0 , thus the only condition for 1/(x + 3) to be less than zero is that (x + 3) < 0 .

Thus,

=> x + 3 < 0

=> x < - 3

Hence,

x € (-∞ , -3)
