Find the solutions of the form x=a,y=0 and x=0,y=b for the following pairs of equations.

Do they have any common such solutions?

i) 3x + 2y = 6 and 5x - 2y =10

(ii) 5x + 3y = 15 and 5x + 2y =10

Answer:

Solve the following simultaneous equations. ... (2) x + 7y = 10; 3x – 2y = 7 ... Putting the value of y in (IV) we get 3x – 2 = 7 ⇒3x = 7 + 2 = 9 ⇒ 3x = 9 ⇒x = 3 ... (5) 3x – 4y = –7 ; 5x – 2y = 0

Answer:

as every variable is 0

i)3×0+2×0=6

0=6

simple answer is 6

5×0-2×0=10

0=10

=10

ii)5×0+3×0=15

0=15

=15

5×0-2×0=10

0=10

=10

iii)9×0+7×0=63

0=63

=63

0-0=10

0=10

=10

Step-by-step explanation:

when any number is multipled with 0 the answer is 0
