Use the equation for velocity of the transverse wave first which is given by
v=(g*x)^1/2 (where x is a variable distance)
we know v=dx/dt , dt = 1/v dx => dt = 1√gx dx
therefore integrating the time t =∫1√gxdx =2√(x/g)
so applying the limits from 0 to 2 .45 we get the time as => 2*(2.45/9.8)^1/2 => 1s
