Hey there !!

▶ Question :- find the square of 288 by using identity ( a - b )² =a² - 2ab + b² .

▶ Solution :-

We have,

= ( 288 )² .

We can write 288 as :-

= ( 300 - 12 )².

Now, Identity to be used :-

°•° ( a - b )² = a² - 2ab + b² .

Here, a = 300 and b = 12.

=> ( 300 - 12 )² = ( 300 )² - 2 × 300 × 12 + ( 12 )².

=> ( 288 )² = 90000 - 7200 + 144.

=> ( 288 )² = 90144 - 7200.

•°• ( 288 )² = 82944.

✔✔ Hence, the square of 288 is 82844 ✅✅.
