Hey

Here is your answer,

________________________________________________

4.50 can be written as the sum of (4 + 0.50)

Therefore , it's square is (4+0.50)^2

Here, we can an identity ( a+b )^2 = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab

a = 4

b = 0.50

So, ( 4 + 0.50 )^2 = (4)^2 + (0.50)^2 + 2 (4) (0.50)

( 4 + 0.50 )^2 = 16 + 0.25 + 4

( 4 + 0.50 )^2 = 20 + 0.25

( 4 + 0.50 )^2 = 20.25

Therefore , the square of 4.50 is 20.25.
