So, the smallest two-digit number that is a perfect square is 16. Take the square root of the smallest 2 digit number and find the square of the ceiling value of that number and that is the answer. Here the smallest 2 digit number is 10 and its square root is 3.something and its ceiling value will be 4 so the answer is square of 4=16

Square of 10 is = 10*10 which is 100. since hundred is a 3 digit number therefore the square of the number preceeding root of 100 will be the largest perfect square. Since perfect sqaure are of natural numbers therefore square of 9 is the required answer. largest 2 digit perfect square = 9^2 = 9*9= 81.
