Square root by long division method : -

1) Foremost, make grouping of 2 from right hand side after units place (or ones place) nad after the decimal point (period) make grouping from L.H.S.

2) Make the number of decimal places even by affixing a zero on the extreme right of the decimal part (if required).

3) Now, find the sq. root of the natural numbers grouped separately on the integral side and perform further steps..... But, for this its only 0 so write zero in the quotient side, and the divisor is multiplied by 2 that is, 0×2 = 0 . No, again the divisor is 0x × x...... its tedious to explain here.... so i hav egiven in the image...so pls see it

4) Now, its time for the decimal part, find the sq. root of each pairs and write it in the quotient.

Here, the Ist pair is zero so write zero in the quotient after the decimal point

5) At Last, 04 remains find its sq. Root and write in the quotient that is, 2

So our quotient is 0.02.

0.02
