Find the Square root of 100 and 169 by the
method of repeated Subtraction.

100-1=99-3=96-5=91-7=84-9=75-11=64-13=51-15=3617=19-19=0

thus square root of 100=10

169-1=168-3=165-5=160-7=153-9=144-11=133-13=120-15=105-17=88-19=69-21=48-23=25-25=0

thus square root of 169=13

Step V 84 - 9 = 75

Step VI 75 - 11 = 64

Step VII 64 - 13 = 51

Step IX  36 - 17 = 19

Step X 19 - 19 = 0

0 is obtained at the 10th step. Hence, 10 is the square root of 100.
