√6.3 = 2.510

Given:

The number 6.3

To find:

6.3

Solution:

The square root can be found out by the method attached in image and then it can be verified by following method.

To calculate square root two digits are grouped together starting from end. If any single number is left, it is written that way only. Then all the groups are multiplied one by one from starting and multiplication can only be by square. So, in first group 2 is multiplied by 2 which results in 4 and remainder 2. Now, the 2 in quotient is added to 2 in divisor and the result is 4. After that a number is added by which if same number is multiplied then that will result in lower than remainder and the process continues.

The square root of 6.3 can be written as (6.3)1/2. So,

(6.3)1/2 = (2.50998007960223 × 2.50998007960223)1/2

(6.3)1/2 = [(2.50998007960223)2]1/2

(6.3)1/2 = (2.50998007960223)2/2

(6.3)1/2 = (2.50998007960223)1

Thus,

√6.3 = 2.50998007960223.

Another method is attached below.

Hence, √6.3 = 2.510
