Required to find the √6203 by long division method

Step by Step :

1st make a group of 2 digits like 03 and 62

now we need to find the square of term which is just less than 62

i.e. 7² = 49

Therefore, first digit of our answer is 7

and by doing so remaining is

62-49= 13

now

take other terms down i.e. 1303

now for dividing we have to add the earlier 7 to 7 (first digit of our answer)

i.e. 14 is the two digit number and we have to add only third digit in this and multiply with same no. for making the term less than 1303

here we take term 148 to multiply with 8

i.e. 148×8= 1184

1303-1184=119 is the remainder

and second digit of our answer is 8

Now we do same way

for dividing we get 148+8= 156

here 156 is bigger than remainder therefore we have to put point after 78 (answer) and take two zeros after 119

i.e. 11900

now 1567×7= 10968

and 11900-10968= 931 as remainder

our answer is 78.7 (up to first digit after point)
