GIVEN:

  • \sf{\dfrac{9}{289}}

TO FIND:

  • \sf{\sqrt{\dfrac{9}{289}}}

SOLUTION:

First we will do prime factorisation of numerator and denominator separately .

9 = 3 × 3 = 3²

289 = 17 × 17 = 17²

putting the new value in \sf{\sqrt{\dfrac{9}{289}}}

\sf\mapsto{\sqrt{\dfrac{{3}^{2}}{{17}^{2}}}}

\sf Root\: and\: square\: are\: cancelled \:by\: each \:other\:and\:we\:get

\sf\mapsto{\dfrac{3}{7} }

ANSWER:

\sf{\sqrt{\dfrac{9}{289}}=\dfrac{3}{7}  }
