this can be compared with

  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  + 2xy = {( x + y)}^{2}

so, x= y

y = 1/y

so formula gives us

{( y +  \frac{1}{y} )}^{2}

now root of this term is

 \sqrt{ {(y +  \frac{1}{y} })^{2} }

root and square cancel each other and we left with

(y +  \frac{1}{y} )

only.
