Find the square
The sum of two numbers is 23. If one of the numbers is 7 find the other number?

Let the 2 numbers be x and y.

x+y=23

One of the numbers is 7, suppose x is 7.

Then,

7+y=23

=> y=23-7

=> y=16

Hence the other number is 16.
