#AlexaRousey here!!

We know (a+b) ^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2 & (a-b) ^2 = a^2 - 2ab + b^2.

a) 1001^2

= (1000+1)^2

= (1000) ^2 + 2(1000)(1) + 1^2

= 1000000 + 2000 + 1

= 1002001

b) 495^2

=) (500-5)^2

= (500)^2 - 2(500)(5) + 5^2

= 250000 - 5000 + 25

= 245,025

c) 305^2

= (300+5)^2

= (300)^2 + 2(300)(5) + 5^2

= 90000 + 3000 + 25

= 93025

d) 99^2

= (100-1)^2

= (100)^2 - 2(100)(1) + 1^2

= 10000 - 200 + 1

= 9801

Thanks!!
