Answer: i) 0,-1 ii) 6,5 iii) 3,2 iv) 7,6

Step-by-step explanation:

1) For succeeding (SI) and preceding integer(PI),  we will find two consecutive integers where given integer lies.

2) On repressing the number -0.24  in number line , we get

-1 < -0.24<0

Hence , SI = 0, PI = -1

3) On representing the number  5.678 in number line,

We get,

5<5.678<6 .

Hence,  PI = 5

SI = 6

4) Now,  for √7 ,in number line.

Since,

4<7<9

=> √4<√7<√9

=> 2<√7<3

Hence,  SI = 3 , PI = 2

5) Again,  √39 ,

36<39<49

=> √36<√39<√49

=> 6<√39<7

Hence,  PI = 6 , SI = 7
