Question :-

  • Find the sum of 7/5 + 3/5

Concept :-

  • First, we will find the LCM of both the fractions.

  • Second, we will put the fractions to get the total sum.

  • Third, we will cancel the numerator and the denominator by a common factor if possible.

Solution :-

First, as you can see that the denominator of the fractions are same. So the LCM of fraction is 5.

= 7+3/5

Second, we will add the two numbers in the numerator.

= 10/5

Third, we can see that the numerator is divisible by the denominator so we will cancel the numerator by the denominator.

= 10/5

= 2

Therefore, the sum of the two fractions is 2.
