         Solution:-

• We will take the LCM of the denominators, and make denominators the same.

• We will Convert the given fractions to equivalent fractions with the denominator as the LCM.

• Adding the numerators over the denominators.

         $\begin{array}{l}3 \frac{1}{4}+3 \frac{5}{8} \\=(3+3)+\left(\frac{1}{4}+\frac{5}{8}\right) \\=6+\frac{1 \times 2}{4 \times 2}+\frac{5}{8} \\=6+\frac{2}{8}+\frac{5}{8} \\=6+\frac{2+5}{8} \\=6+\frac{7}{8}\\=\frac{55}{8} .\end{array}$

    Hence we will get the value $\frac{55}{8} .$

Solution :

• As per given condition we write , $3 \frac{1}{4} + 3 \frac{5}{8}$    
• Converting mixed fraction into improper fraction to add them .  
• $\frac{13}{4} + \frac{29 }{8}$
• To find the sum of given rational numbers we get need to equalize denominators of both the rational numbers. By taking LCM

• Therefore, LCM = $8$

• Now, multiplying numerators of both rational numbers by same number as multiplied by denominators to make LCM.

• Therefore, we get,

          $\frac{13}{4}+\frac{29}{8}=\frac{13 \times 2}{8}+\frac{29 \times 1}{8} \\= \frac{26 + 29 }{8} \\= \frac{55}{8}$
