find the sum of 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 without doing some of it

Series: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11

Let the first term be a
Let the common difference be d.

Hence, a = 1
d = 3 - 1 = 2

It is clear that the above numbers are in Arithmetic Progression.
Last term l = 11.

Total number of terms (n) = 6

Now, there is a formula of sum of n terms of an AP, which is listed in the attachment. 

The sum of the terms by formula is hence 36.
