Given:

  • 3 \dfrac{2}{9}  + 2 \dfrac{1}{18}

To find:

  • Sum of 3 \dfrac{2}{9}  + 2 \dfrac{1}{18}

Concept:

❭❭ In this query, we will first make the mixed number into improper fractions. Than we will find the L.C.M of 9 and 18. After that we will work out the sum.

Solution:

3 \dfrac{2}{9}  + 2 \dfrac{1}{18}

[ multiply 9 and 3 and add 2 to the product, mutiply 18 and 2 and add 1 to the product]

 \dfrac{29}{9}  +  \dfrac{37}{18}

L.C.M of 9 and 18 is 9×2 = 18

 \dfrac{58 + 37}{18}

 \dfrac{95}{18}  = 5 \dfrac{5}{18}
