Answer:

Find the Sum

a) 8/13 + 3/11

Find the LCM of 13 and 11 =143

Then multiply the numerator and denominator with the other denominator because 143 is the LCM and to get 143 in table of 11 you need to multiply 11 with 13 and in table 13 you need to multiply with 11

8*11/13*11=88/143

3*13/11*13=39/143

then add the numerators over the common denominator

127/143 =>Answer

88+39/143

SOLVE:

a) 29/4 - 30/7

Cross multiply the numerators with the denominators

29*7=203

30*4 = 120

then subtract them

203-120=83 (thats the numerator of the answer)

and then multiply the denominators to get the denominator of the answer

7*4=28

Answer = 83/28
