Find the sum of additive inverse of (5 m + 7 n) and additive inverse of (–2m – 3n)

Given :

  • 1st Additive Inverse = (5m + 7n)
  • 2nd Additive Inverse = (-2m -3n)

Find :

  • The Sum of Additive Inverse.

Solution :

  • 1st Additive inverse of 5m + 7n :

= 0 - (5m + 7n)

= -5m - 7n

  • 2nd Additive inverse of - 2m - 3n:

= 0 - (-2m-3n)

= 2m + 3n

According to this question,

  • Sum of Additive inverses :

= -5m - 7n + 2m + 3n

= - 3m - 4n

Therefore,

  • Hence, the sum of Additive Inverse is -3m -4n.
