Method of Solution;-
All even number between 101 and 999 which are Given below in the form of Arithmetic Sequence or Progression.
102+104+106+......+998
Here,
First term (a) = 102
Common difference (d) = 104 - 102 = 2
•°• Common difference (d) = 2
Last term = 998
Now, Using Formula of Tn
•°• Tn = a+(n-1)d
998 = 102 +(n-1)2
998 = 102 +2n -2
998 = 100+2n
998-100 = 2n
898 = 2n
•°• n = 898/2
=> 449
Hence, n = 449
According to the Question;
Required Summation = n/2(a+l)
=> 449/2(102+998)
=> 449/2(1100)
=> 449 × 550
=>246,950
Hence,
the sum of all even no. between 101 and 999 = 246,950
